Environmentalism and spirtuality come in many different forms.  On Sunday, April 22nd Rev. Don Baldwin will combine the two for "Yosemite - the Range of Light," a multi-media presentation.  It will feature a panoramic slide show (several running at once!), music, and John Muir quotes.  There will be three 50-minute shows at 1pm, 3pm, and 7pm at the Nevada City United Methodist Church on 433 Broad Street.  The show will also be included in the morning church services.  For more info, call (530) 274-1519.
I have known Rev. Baldwin many years - I met him when I was 8-years-old when I attended his progressive church service as part of a friend's slumber party!  In high school, I saw one of his multi-media shows and was very impressed!  He retired in the Sierra Foothills, but his commitment to environmental justice and interfaith collaboration never ceases to amaze me.  He is also a member of Earth Justice Ministries, "a nonprofit dedicated to creating a just and sustainable world," who is sponsoring the Earth Day event.
