I am now 65 years old but spent many of my early childhood summers at the cabins and hotel at globins. My brother (2yrs. older than I) caught a tiny minnow, took it to the cook at the hotel and they printed up a special menu for him saying they were serving "Dick Howard's trout" freshly caught that morning off the pier. Of course, they had switched fish to an edible size but my brother was none the wiser.
Every summer we were there the famous boxer of the day, Max Baer (sp?) was there with his family. I had no idea who he was but he was rather famous in the boxing world.
I loved happening on this website and seeing the pictures of the hotel and especially the beach where we spent so many happy hours.
