I lived in the Sierra Valley

I lived in the Sierra Valley at different times at what I will always think of as Campbell's Hot Springs (now Sierra Hot Springs). I was there the day John Petrocelli sold the property in 1976. I knew him, and I listened to the old man’s yarns about the place. I worked there and once lived through a cold winter in cabin #2, warmed only by a wood-burning stove. In recent years I’ve often been a guest at the lodge. When I heard you talk on NPR about what is, or may be, happening to the Valley, I flat out wanted to cry.

Sincerely,

Rafael Montserrat

I feel for you. It does tear

I feel for you. It does tear out our hearts when there was a place throughout our lives that we visited and brings up so many fond memories; only to ripped from under us. Not becuase nature struck us with a fierce blow, but only becuase human activity and ignorance robs us from our beautiful places of glorious memories. We should always remail active and outspoken in order that we may preserve what the planet Earth has so generously made available to us. Farrah Amin- Sac State Student
