Owens River Flows December 6

"...one of the most ambitious river restoration efforts ever attempted." writes Louis Sahagun in today's LA Times article. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, fulfilling a long-delayed commitment, plans to put water back into the river on Dec. 6 in hopes of transforming its puddles and ponds into a biological superhighway of trees, fish, waterfowl, songbirds, elk and deer.

This will be a chance to see what happens as nature restores herself.

I think this long awaited

I think this long awaited and overdue. We need to put back what we have depleted. Nature and its ecosystems are a beautiful and necesssary part of lives, and this project will be one to bring some of that beauty back. Farrah Amin- Sac State Student
