The Sierra's snowpack level is far below average. In measurements taken by the state Department of Water Resources, the water content of the Sierra Nevada stretch was 46 percent below normal. The bleak March weather - which typically brings in five to six inches - actually brought a loss of eight to nine inches. If these dry conditions persist, there is a big concern for the demands of cities and farms in the western Sierra watershed.

Sierra's snowpack level below avg
The snowpack level decreasing is definitely not a great thing to happen. It would be devastating if it continues to drop. I think that we should take some measures to help stop the snowpack level from going down. At least this issue is being acknowledged, so that is a big step.
